"The Lizard's Meal"
by
Shayna

T
he lizard creeps along the hot, desert sand,

Searching for his next meal
The scorching heat cannot burn his hands
An insect would be a great deal

Hidden in the shadow of a jagged rock,
An unsuspecting beetle was napping
That poor thing was in for a big shock
The lizards' jaws snapped shut, the bug did no more flapping.

The End
