here once lived a milkmaid who used to sell milk in the market.One day she was on her way to the market,with a pot full of milk on her head when she fell into a river."Every day",she thought,"I will save some money out of the price I get for the milk.When I have thus saved enough,I will buy a cow for myself.With the price I get for the milk of that cow I will buy another cow.Thus I shall become richer and richer.I am a beautiful woman.I will buy beautiful clothes and jewellery and wear them.Then I shall look even more beautiful.Many young men will want to marry me.Perhaps the king's son himself may ask my hand..." She was so excited at the thought that she began to dance.But she took only one step.The pot fell of her head,and broke into pieces on the road and of course all the milk was lost. She had only one thought now:What shall I tell to my parents when I reach home?
