ill Coleman , a retired soldier,a frontiers man, an American, andlooking for an adventure. Bill was also good with a gun but didnít want to be known for it . One day he was riding his horse ,star, when he met a man named Dan Stone. From then on Dan and Bill were friends; they went every were together. One day when Dan and Bill were riding,they met a man named Tom Stockerd.Tom asked to come along for company.So they let him come.But Bill didnít trust him.When Dan and Bill were alone Bill told him what he thought, the same.So they watched him more. Finally they got to a town named, Carlton. They came to the edge of town and Tom didnít want to go in. Bill got suspicion so he kept going and Dan came too. Tom stayed. When they came to town , Bill went to see the sheriffí s office and look at records.He found that Tom was wanted! So he told the sheriff and went and told Dan , Dan wanted to go catch Tom but Bill told him the sheriff would do it . They got a room in a hotel and went to bed. In the morning Bill walked over to the sheriff ës office while almost opening the door he saw Tom in the office holding the sheriff prisoner. While Tomís back was turned Bill sneaked in and caught Tom off guard. He untied the sheriff. The sheriff took Tom to jail and Bill and Dan left following the sunset.
The moral of this story is donít trust strangers.
