nce upon a time there lived two lizards. They always bragged saying "We are the best". Another lizard who had a beautiful bush for his home, was getting annoyed with them.

So he made a plan. He explained the plan to his friends & they all agreed. He made lots of invitations. The two lizards were surprised and delighted both at once and said they would come.

When they arrived at the party, they found all the guests waiting. "O.K. lets start the games." One lizard went to the 'blueberry eating' contest. He won of course. He went to the stream to wash his tongue but it only turned more blue. So he is called the blue tongue lizard.

Meanwhile, the other lizard went to the 'frill' contest. To see who could keep a party frill on the longest. All the others took theirs off straight away and said "The frill was annoying'.

As for the lizard with the frill, he still thinks the party game is on and is called the frilled neck lizard.
