"The Blind Girl"

T
here once was a girl named Lonny who went to a party at her best friend, April's house. It was a pool party, but Lonny had a cold, but of course she would still go to her bestest friend's party!

Her mother said she could go, as long as she keeps out of the water. Lonny told her mother that she won't go in the water, and was on her way to April's house. When she reached there, a lot of people she knew greeted her. She had a great time chatting with everyone.

A boy named Richie was a big joker, and walked up next to Lonny who was standing next to the pool talking to her friends. Richie pushed her into the pool. Lonny screamed and got up for air. Her ear stung so badly.

Her friends helped her out, and saw that her ear was bleeding. Lonny couldn't hear anything. She was deaf. Her friends tried asking if she was alright, but all she kept saying was,
"I can't hear anything! I can't hear you! "

She was rushed to the hospital. The docter said that she was deaf, and wrote it on a piece of paper for Lonny to read. Lonny was hurrified.
"When can I hear again docter?" asked Lonny.
The docter didn't answer.

Later, they took tests. They put her in a room, and made her put on headphones. The docter and April walked into another room. The headphones started playing some jazz music. Lonny couldn't hear it. The docter put the volume higher to 200. She still couldn't hear it. The docter put it up to 3,000, 4,000, then 5,000. Lonny still couldn't hear it.

The docter said that it's impossible for her to hear again. When Lonny read what the docter said on a piece of paper, she cried and sobbed. She was brought home to her family. For 5 weeks she couldn't hear. Her parents and friends prayed everyday that she would hear again, but it never happened. They continued to ask different docters if they had a cure for deafness. None did.

Because of her deafness, she couldn't hear a truck that was coming towards her and she was about to be killed, if her friend, Amanda hadn't saved her. She sobbed everyday because of not hearing. She tried watching tv, and turned the volume very loud, but sill couldn't hear it.

One day, her family and her went to the beach. Lonny walked around, and heard a little girl crying for help. She rushed to the little girl, and asked what was wrong. The girl replied,
"I can't find my mommy!" and cryed some more.
Lonny said, "Don't worry! We'll find your mommy."
Just then, an elderly woman came rushing and found her missing daughter.
"Oh thank you! Thank you!"
Lonny said, "Your welcome," and walked away.

She suddenly realized that she could hear again! She was overjoyed. At that moment, she vowed that she would always help someone who needed a helping hand, because it always pays off, and that's the truth...
