"Letter from a Tree"

ear humans,

I am very worried. Some of the leaves that used to shine like crystals have been cut off me.The barren gound made of dead sticks reminds me of my cut down brothers and sisters .Now I am feeling lonelier and lonelier everyday and when I give you shade I am as a lost rabbit that you might cut me down.

I can no longer hear the birds singing that once sounded like the song of nature's children. The sweet smell of grass has faded very quickly.I miss the insects making me smile as they climbed on my vine to gather leaves. The bees have quit buzzing because they cannot make honey without trees and without honey what is the use of a black bear climbing up what is left of the trees? The small children who once picked apples. For what is the point without trees? The woodpeckers have stopped pecking. For what is the point without trees.

So you see that is why I need your help The beauty we hold is becoming very rare. Please, help. If not for you, do it for me because a world without trees is not worth living.

Your friend,

Tree

The End
