Hannah's "The first scarecrow."

In this story, is "pumpkin", is "crow",
is "scarecrow", is "plant", and is "corn".

A long time ago, a farmer said" I wish those darn wouldn't eat my s! I have to stand in the fields all day!"

"I'll stand in the fields a quarter of the day, our daughter, Millicent, another quarter of the day, our son Thomas, another quarter of day, and you, the last quarter." said the angry farmers wife.

So each member of the family stood in the fields, and the field and the near the s, for 6 hours per day.

One day while 8 year old Millicent was in the fields, she had an idea. She put a on a long stick and stuck the stick in the ground then she filled her jacket with straw and put it there too. " It scares so I'll call it a ."
