veryone thinks that Bumpy is a funny name for a dog. Bumpy was just a puppy when Father brought him to live on the farm. The puppy ran all over the house. He ran here and there. Everywhere he went, he bumped into something."Our puppy is a bumpy dog," said Bob. "He always goes bump, bump." The little puppy ran into Bill. Bump! Next he ran into Father. "Bow, wow," the puppy barked. The puppy backed away and bumped into Mother and a chair. He looked up at Bob and Bill. He wanted to say, "I am sorry, there are just too many things in this room." "We have a bumpy little puppy," said Bill. "Come on, Bumpy. Let's go outside where you will have more room." Bob and Bill played all day with their new pet. They gave him some milk. They put a box in the kitchen. The box was to be Bumpy's bed. Bob and Bill played with Bumpy in the kitchen. The puppy bumped into the kitchen table. He ran to Bob and bumped into his bed. "Bumpy is a good name for our new pet," said Bob and that was that.
