"MY YEAR IN SECOND GRADE"

y year in second grade was really cool. My new teacher's name was Mrs. McGowan. She was really nice and we did lots of fun things.On Mondays, we went to Music with Mrs. Lord. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we went to Gym with Mrs. Young. On Wednesdays, we had Art class with Ms. Kunz. Fridays we went to Library with Mrs. Moreland. Our classroom was in the pink hallway in Room 203. We had 25 students, 13 girls and 12 boys. I made many new friends. I learned many new things during the year. In Science, I learned all about dinosaurs. We made paper mache dinosaurs. In Math, I learned about measurement. We made meter and yard sticks, then used them to measure different items in the classroom. In Spelling, we got new words each week and the tests were each Friday. We even had Spelling Bees! Also, I learned how to write in cursive handwriting. We read new stories in our readers and worked on pages in our LAB workbooks. In May, we went on a field trip to the Camden Aquarium. We saw all kinds of fish. Our Spring concert was also in May. We sang songs from The Sound of Music. The year went by quickly. June had finally arrived and I was promoted to third grade. I'll always remember my year in second grade with happy memories.
