"Emily"

M
aga Jean was a young beautiful girl, she had soft curly blond hair, with big, bright blue eyes like her beautiful mother, and she was popular, oh ever so popular. Everyone in her jr. high class wanted to be even noticed by her for a slight second. Every guy would want her to cast her beautiful eyes there way, even for the slightest second so they could brag to there fellow students. Oh and Maga, well she was perfect, she didn't even have a care in the world.

But than there was Maga's twin sister, Emily. A taller, girl, with long frizzy brown hair that was usually braided. Her eyes were brown weren't half as sprakling as her sister. She just wasn't has beautiful as or sister, or as much noticed. But she was smart, so so smart. Her parents had even wanted to move her up a grade when she was younger. But than they thought of spliting the two twins apart and changed there mind.

It was January, almost Febuary. The days were short and cold, and the walks to school were harsh on the hair and face as Maga would say.
"Emily" Maga said as the two girls walked side my side. "Why do you always have to leave school at the same time as me? And why do you always have to cling to me like a puppy?"
"We go to the same school. Why shouldn't I walk with you? And I don't cling to you at all. I don't know what your talking about."
"Well Emily, I hate to say this, because it will probably hurt your feelings, but I don't like you being around me. Your ruining my image."

With that, Maga snuffed her sister and walked ahead. Emily stopped and looked after her sister. Why would she say something like that to me? she asked herself. We may be to different people, but we've always gotten along together well. Well, if she doesn't need me, why should I need her?

Emily cut in threw the grass and headed to school the longer way. At least she wouldn't have to be walking in Maga's foot steps. But as Emily walked, she thought of all the nice thing she and her sister had done together. Why would she say something like this now. And why would she say something like that. She didn't have the right. She never hung around her sister. They both had there own groups. But as Emily neared school, tears trickled from her eyes, she couldn't bare to go there now. It was a place where guys would come up to her, to get Maga's phone number, and where she'd see Maga walking down the halls with a big group of girls and guys alike trying to be seen with her. And where she'd see notes hanging from her sisters locker which had pink envelopes and pretty writing on it and surely poetry in side. It was a place where one could not avoid Maga Jean.

Emily turned and fled into the children's park. Where she hid, in her favorite tree that she used to spend hours in when things were going wrong. But all of a sudden, the tree began to comfort her. It was a place where no one would look for her and no one would bother her.

The day past on slowly, and soon the early nightfall came. Emily had hardly realised the time, and when she looked across the park, she could see a car pulling up. The doors opened and two people got up, a shorter person and a tall one. They neared and soon Emily could see it was Maga and John Francis, the new, tall handsome boy in school.
"Emily what are you doing up there? Everyone has been looking for you."
"Go home Maga, I know I'll ruin you if someone see's you near me."
"Oh Emily. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean what I said. Please come down. Come home. I'm really sorry."

Maga looked up sadly and Emily felt sorry. But than she remebered what her sister had said and how many times she had lied and said cruel things about her behind her back.
"Go home Maga" Emily said.
Maga looked at John,
"Can I talk to Emily alone?" she asked him.
"Sure" he said.

Than he bent close to Maga. Emily thought he kissed her and than he left and headed toward the tower in the middle of the play ground and climbed up it.
"Emily now you come down" Maga said sternly.
"Don't you tell me what to do. Why don't you just go back to your new boyfriend and have him take you home."
"Emily! John is not my boyfriend. He want's to be yours."

Emily was about to answer, and than she realised what her sister had said and she looked across at John. His eyes met her and she looked away.
"But, I saw him..."
"No Maga. Whatever you've heard and seen is wrong. He was hanging around you when he first came to our school, but you negcleted him and so he was trying to hang around me, so he could get your attention."
"......Oh."
"And Emily. I am sorry for what I said. I was just letting some of the other girls words get in my head. I'm sorry. I love you, your my best friend. Come down and come home. Please."

Emily looked around and than smiled,
"Alright. But if your lying I won't ever forgive you."
"I wouldn't lie about this. Come on now."

And so Emily came down, and she walked back to Johns car, with her sisters arm around her shoulder and John right behind her.
