ne day, a boy named James and his father, John went to get a pumpkin for Halloween They went to the grocery store and got the biggest one. It was just two days before Halloween, so they carved it right away.It looked scary! It had a weird frown. They made really sharp teeth on it. It's eyes were round and its nose was sharp looking. They also used pieces of the cut pumpkin that had been carved out to make ears for it. Then they set it on the porch. Later on, James went out to ride his bike. While he was getting it, he heard something. He heard breathing. But there was no one there except him. But he heard it louder every two seconds. He looked around again. Then a hand grabbed his shoulder. He looked around. It was his neighbour. "That pumpkin is scaring my kids" said the neighbour. "Well, I guess that's too bad," said James, being nasty. The neighbour walked off and started mumbling. But after the neighbour left, James could still hear the breathing. He got his bike. He got on it. But then the jack-o-lantern jumped on his head. It melted into his face. Now James looked gruesome. He had the same frown, the same nose mouth and ears as the jack-o-lantern did. But his face wasn't orange. It looked like a human face. It was his face now. He went to find his Dad. His Dad was so shocked that he fainted. "Help!" shouted James. He was beginning to get really scared and mad. He went to find the man who sold him the pumpkin. When he found him, the guy explained. "Oh yes, that's a perfect pumkin for carvin'," said the man. But the person who last had it didn't get out of it. They lived their whole life with a pumpkin face. When they died, the pumpkin jumped off and took its normal shape. And I don't think you'll get out of it either." "Why?" asked James. "Well, sir, because that there you got stuck on your face is none other than the Great Pumpkin's head. You're cursed."
