"o you want a cupcake,Katherine?"her best friend asked.Katherine nodded and Erica got her friend a treat.It was about time the two 6th graders were going to write in their club diaries.They were both pretty rich.Erica was having a party with a cookout.She was a new kid, and only knew Katherine. Erica had moved because she was allergic to some stuff in their old house that could not be moved.They met again at West Pastel street. Mrs.Field,the maid of Kathy's Manor helped cook chicken,and a big 3 layer with peppermint sugar filling orange cake.Not 2 crumbs were left. Kathy's dad,Mr.Kahir,told her Erica was moving back because the family needed her.Warm tears rolled down her rosy cheeks.Her dad tried to put an arm around her,but she went inside to Erica's room.Erica was sobbing loudly and looked up.Kathy stopped for 5 seconds.Her friend gave her a hug. "I am really gonna miss you,"they said simotaneously. "JENKS!"they giggled. Kathy slowly walked out her room.Erica packed.Mrs.Kahir drove home.Her daughter was faking sleep.She was wondering how to stop her best friend from moving.It hit her like lightning.She rose straight up. "Ma,can you hand me the phone?" She called the neighbor city were Erica used to live.Kathy asked the family would they like to stay in her guest house.Erica Hillit was gonna stay in her house. "MOM!THEY ARE GONNA STAY IN THE GUEST HOUSE!SHE ISN'T LEAVING!" That night, they had all had a place to stay, and they never tore apart. Not even for college!
