t was a foggy afternoon in August when I was born. When I was, my parents took me to my new home in a cave. They named me Crazy Cricket.Years quickly went by and soon I was two years old. Me and me Dad played in the grass and lots of fun. So did my Mum and I. But the day that I turned three was the worst day of my life. My Dad, my Mum and I were playing outside when some kid came running by. He stomped on my mother and father, but not me. I couldn't believe it. I hated that kid!I now had no family. And on my birthday! I had to move out, because the cave was then sold to another family of crickets. They wouldn't let me stay with them. They were mean. So I packed up my stuff. I soon found another cave though. I started to live there. But then a family moved in there too. But this family let me stay with them. I soon became like a son to them. They also had another son, so I had someone to play with. One problem though. The mother was really strict. But I soon got used to it. I remembered my family a lot, and told my new family all kinds of stories. My new family showed me a great time. We did lots of things. We even went rock climbing, which was hard because I was so small. One thing I liked to do also was write stories. I still do, because otherwise I wouldn't be telling you this story. I loved my new family. But one thing. They had a rule. They said once their kids are eight years old, they have to find a new home. (Eight years old is when you turn into a grown up in a cricket's life). So my new brother and I left and tried to find a home to share. We soon found a nice hole in the ground. Like Bugs Bunny's. Now that we were grown ups, my new brother, Crunchy (that was his name), ate a lot. He ate lots of fatty foods and not any healthy stuff. He lived on chips, pop and other high salted snack foods. He didn't stop. Eventually, he weighed one hundred pounds (which is a lot for a cricket). So I left that house because I couldn't stand the sight of him. I found a new hole in the ground and was quite happy. Until the day it rained. It flooded my house. I ended up swimming to a mall. I then lived in the mall and no one saw me. I thought I had found where I was going to stay. But then they found me and put me in the pet store to be food for spiders. I was very scared. Soon someone bought me and I was put in a cage that I thought was my new home.
