"Ali Helps Out"

T
here was once a girl named Ali. Ali worked on her parents farm.

One day, she had to mend a wall. Tight, and sturdy.

Later, she had to take the crops to the market. She walked past the fortress of her homeland, China.
"Hello sir. Why, what a nice suit you have on. Is it a special day?" Ali asked.
"Why yes. Emperor Ming is coming. Everything must be perfect." The guard said.
"Sir, this wall, a stone is out of place." Ali yelled.
"Hah! The wall is fine. Be gone little girl." The guard barked.

The guard sat on his little spot on the tower. Then, Ali's hand popped up.
"Listen sir! The stone is out! If you want things to be perfect, fix the wall!"
The guard stood up and snapped, "Listen girl! The wall is fine!"

Ali climbed down, and hid in a bush. The guard climbed down from his tower and saw the huge stone that was loose.
"Well, I'll be. She was right!" The guard thought.

He pushed and shoved, but the stone wouldn't go in place.
"I can help!" Ali yelled from the bush.

She ran home and got a huge, long, stick. The guard and Ali pushed the stone in.
"Thank you, Ali. You saved my job. I'm sorry for the way I acted. I was taught to be that way." The guard said.
"Apology accepted." Ali answered.

And when Ali got home, she found a brand new plow in the shed.
