H
i. My name is Pansy Koala. I am going to tell you the story of my life.

It all stared at my home in Australia. In a eucalyptus tree. I was in my room eating some eucalyptus leafs. Then I walked out of my room. I found mom in the kitchen. Baking a eucalyptus upside down cake, for the party tomorrow night. I said to mom,
" I'm bored. I want to do something fun."
"Well I want to tell you something. I want you to travel," said Mom.
"What?" I asked.
"I want you to travel. Don't make it hard as it already is," Mom said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because it is hard for me."
"Why?" I asked again.
"Because when you were a small koala, Daddy was off at the at the war. He died honey. I always told you that he was off fighting wars and he could never come back. Because he was making peace in the world."
"He did mom?"
"Yes I am sorry to say he did honey."

My eyes filled up with tears. I stared crying. Mom hugged me. She said,
"It's okay Pansy. It's just hard for me to be alone for a long time. I will be lonely. But there is good news, I am seeing a koala."
"You are?" I said.
"Yes honey."
"What 's his name? I asked.
"His name is Bradley koala."
"I better go pack."
"I will pay all the plane tickets," Mom called as I walked to my room.

She is seeing a another koala" I asked myself. Then I stared to pack. I thought what I needed. I my got all my stuff together. Then a thought went in my head like a flash! What happen to my room when I was gone? I went to mom I asked trying to catch my breath.
"Mom what's going to my room when I'm gone ?"
"You now Mr. Koala?" Asked mom.
"Yes," I said. She had a big grin on her face, He is going to move in. So now I won't be so lonely. He is going to take all his stuff and move in your room."
"My Room? Why my room?" I asked angrily.
"Because it's the only room Pansy. "
"But it is my room," I said.
"I will not say it again Mr. Koala is going to move into your room."
"Just give my plane ticket, and I will leave you forever, and you wanted me out of the house because of him ,"I said.

Mom gave me the plane ticket and I left I peeked over my shoulder as I was at the door she was crying.

I was in my drive way. I reached into my duffel bag and pulled out about $8.00 . The airport was not to far. So I got a taxi. It was $6.00 but counting the tip was $7.00.

I looked my ticket it was to England. Wow I thought. So I walked to the airplane that went to England. I sat down by the window. I grabbed a a legal pad and a pencil I wrote:

Dear Mom, May 6, 1996

Then I heard the loudspeaker it said,
" All passengers please take a sit we are ready for take off."
Then I drew a breath and once again I wrote:

Dear Mom, May 6, 1996

I want to say I am sorry for yelling at you , you didn't need that. Will you forgive me? I hope you will. I did not mean it when I said I will never see you again.

Love you lots ,

Pansy

So I put the letter in my backpack. At one point of the plane trip I read a book. At another point I fell asleep. I was asleep the rest of the plane trip.

It was a long ride. But final I got to England. I had a lot of money for traveling in my backpack. So I got a taxi. It was really cheap it was $3.84 counting the tip. I went in a lot of stores. I ate at a restaurant called: The Eucalyptus Hut. I liked the restaurant it was not to much money But it was very, very, very fancy! I ate a small dinner.

After I ate dinner I found a good cheap hotel. It was called England Sweets. I liked the the sound of that.

After I got myself settled, I found a envelope in my backpack I was going to buy a stamp the next day and send my letter.

Then I got my nightgown on then I lay down in my bed and fell asleep in my bed. I had a perfect sleep that night.

In the morning I woke up. At the corner of the street the store sales stamps I would buy one there. I got up got dressed, brush my teeth, and combed my hair. I went down stairs. It's hard not living in a tree. I saw some animals down stairs I saw: Mr. Dog, Lady Cat and Lady Cat's daughter Anastasia. They said,
"Good morning Miss Koala."

I set foot to the store. The clerk was nice. I bought the stamp and put it in the mailbox nearby. I got back England Sweets. I was at my room at the hotel. I looked at my calender next week was my birthday. I had no one to have a party with.

That night I was not hungry so I did not eat that night. I was getting ready to go to sleep. I brushed my teeth. I put on my nightgown on and tried to get to sleep. But I just couldn't.

I woke up the next morning I had a rustless sleep that night. I took a shower, I got dressed, I brushed my teeth, combed my hair. I walked down to the lobby I went to the front desk. I asked,
"Do I have any mail?"
She asked,"What 's your name? Room number?"
I said," Pansy Koala. My number is C649.
She said," Yes you do Miss Koala."

I took the letter from her and sat down at a bench. I read the letter to myself. It said:

Dear Pansy , May 7, 1996

I'm sorry also. I shouldn;t have given your away. Will you forgive me? I am not seeing Mr. Koala anymore. Well lets change the topic. Well your birthday is next week! Are you excited? I want you to come home for your birthday in the envelope is a plane ticket to come home .Could you come home the day you recive this letter?

Best Wishes,

Mamma

I wanted to go home more then anything. I would just wrap my arms around her forever! I went up stairs to pack. I packed my things I checked out of the hotel. Then I was ready and set then I hailed a taxi. I was off to the airport.

When I got there all my friends were there.
I said," Mom I want to move.
She asked," Where?
I said,"England."
She shook her head said," No.
I said,"Yes. England will always be my home. I love it there. I am going to be my home there."
She whimpered,"Don't leave."
I said,"After the party I am leaving. After the party I did leave
