"Circus Cats"

I
n Florida state cats are considered useless. But one day a few cats turned the table.

Dorothy, Fran, Roy and Tammy were talented cats. Dorothy can cycle on a one wheeled bike called a unicycle. Fran can tame any animal and make them do tricks, Roy can juggle things like balls, fruit, sticks, other animals, and fire, and Tammy can balance on a wire.

The four cats had a dream of going into the circus. But everywhere they went the answer would be,
“Get a life, cats are useless!!”

Until one day when they were walking down the street they saw a sign that said,
“Talented Animals Wanted”
“Oh my! Finally we can follow our dreams” cried Dorothy.
“Yeah, well the question is will they accept us?” Roy replied.
“Well of course they will Roy, the sign says talented animals and we are talented animals aren’t we?” asked Tammy
“Well of course we are. We have nothing to loose. Let’s go in and see what we can do” said Fran.

The four cats walked into the office. The office was bright and colorful and smelled of sweet perfume. The wall paper had all kinds of animals on it. They walked up to a desk with a women sitting behind it. She didn’t notice them walk in because she was too busy eating candy and reading the Wall Street Journal. The lady was fat with a large blob of curly reddish hair on head, very dark red lipstick and a lot of freckles.
“Ahh, excuse me Mrsssss…….”
“The names Mrs. Muffin, Anne Muffin and who might you be little kitty?”
“My name is Roy and these are my friends, Dorothy, Fran and Tammy.”
“Well now howdy do. Wanna piece of candy?”
“No thank you.”
“We saw your sign in the window that said talented animals wanted and we were wondering if maybe, well…..”
“If maybe you could get a part in a circus or something?” she asked.
“Why yes, yes indeed we would.”
“Well then I’ll make an appointment. Tomorrow at noon come back with all of your equipment.”
“Oh thank you Mrs. Muffin”
All four cats ran quickly out of the office and down the street.

The next day they came back at noon with all of their equipment and props. They walked into the office and over to the desk.
“Well nice to see you again. I guess we should get going shouldn’t we? Well of course we should!”
Dorothy brought her unicycle, Roy brought his juggling things, Fran brought a small mouse and a frog and Tammy brought her portable fold out high wire. They walked into a big room. On the walls were pictures and ads and posters for circuses, parks, and people. As they were setting up Mrs. Muffin was getting some papers organized and ready.

Roy was up first. He started off with juggling four balls. Then he juggled bowling pins, and then sticks that were on fire. Then Dorothy went up. She rode her unicycle around in circles, up slops, jumping and flipping. Then Fran let out her mouse, Sherman, and made him fetch, play dead, jump, flip and go through a maze. Then Tammy went on her high wire. She walked back and fourth rode a bicycle back and fourth, and she balanced on a chair.

Mrs. Muffin was so amazed that she gave them enough money to start their own show!!! They were so happy! They bought a tent and put up signs and made lots of money and lived happily ever after.

The End
