O
nce upon a time, a long, long time ago, lived a civilization called Greece. The Greeks believed in Gods and Goddesses. Not just one or two, but many different ones. Zeus was the God of the sky and the Head God, for example. Well, later on in history, a civilization called Rome came about. The Romans also belived in Gods and Goddesses. Problem is, the Romans believed in the same Gods and Goddesses as the Greeks, but with different names. This story is about the Gods and Goddesses meeting each other.

Posiedon is the god of the sea, according to the Greeks. He had a wife named Thetis. One day, Thetis was talking to Artemis, the Moon Goddess, and was told that a place called Rome had several Gods just like Greek's. Thetis became very interested in that and began asking Artemis questions about the Roman Gods. Artemis just wisely said, "Oh, Thetis, Thetis, you'll soon see". This drove Thetis crazy! She wanted her questions answered-NOW! Well, Thetis came storming home in a fit of rage and told Posiedon about the Roman Gods, how they were similar to the Greek gods. Posiedon's eyes opened wide and he wanted to know more about the Roman gods. He too got annoyed and stormed over to Artemis who was in the middle of telling Athena about the Roman gods. By the way, Athena is the protector of Athens and the Goddess of wisdom. Well, Posiedon lost his temper andyelled at Artemis. Athena got angry at him and stood up for her friend Artemis.

Okay, now Athena and Posiedon had been fighting over Athens and Athena had won, so Posiedon didn't like her very much. Back to the story-

Posiedon bursted out at both Goddesses and went to Zeus. He told Zeus about the Roman Gods. Zeus had to sit down. You see, he thought that there were only Greek gods and the talk of Roman gods made him feel very uneasy. He had to sit down! He had to! Zeus soon filled up with hatred towards the Roman Gods, even though he didn't know them. He ordered a meeting with all of the Greek gods and goddesses. Everyone was there. He ordered Ares, the goddess of war and Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love to seek out the Roman Gods. When they finally did, they brought back the messenger, Mercury. Artemis told Mercury everything about the Greeks and Mercury told her everything about the Romans. Then, Zeus ordered another meeting, with both the Roman gods AND the Greek gods. He soon became friends with the Roman Gods, and every god lived happily ever after.
