むかし、アレンという名前の男がいた。アレンは新聞を読むのがすきだった。 あるとき新聞をよんでいると、こうかいてあった。「フランスに別の惑星からきた生物がいる」アレンはこわくなった。2週間後、アレンは地下室におりていってドアを見た。ドアのとってがたしかにうごいた。 アレンはとてもこわくなった。くるりとターンした。とつぜんアレンはなにかを聞いた。 もういちどターンしてみるとそこには小さな人々がいた。 とてもあつかったので、アレンはかいだんをかけあがってドアの外にでた。 アレンは公園にいってあるいてみようと思った。「こうすればこわくなくなるだろう」アレンはひとりごとをいった。
2時間後、アレンは家にかえった。そのいきものはもういなかった！もう真夜中ちかくだったので、アレンはベッドにいって、長い一日だったと思った。 目がさめたとき、地下室のほうから大きな物音がした。地下室をおりてみると、へんてこな生物がもどってきていた。 アレンは目をとじてそれからまたあけてみた。「ひるねをすることにしよう。おきてみればやつらはいないだろう」アレンはかいだんをあがりベッドにはいった。 目がさめたらそこは宇宙だった。アレンはあたりをみまわした。アレンのいるスペースシップは家のようだったけど家よりもっとおもしろいものがたくさんあった。 壁いちめんがテレビで、そのテレビはこれからどこにいくのかということだけをうつしていた。 「家にもどしてくれ」アレンはいった。「だめです。あなたは2ヶ月わたしたちといっしょにすごすのです。あなたの世界について教えてください、そうしたらわたしたちの世界についておおしえしましょう」 そんなこんなのうちにも、アレンの友だちがアレンの家にやってきた。ドアをノックしてこういった。「アレン、いるかい？」だれもこたえない。 宇宙ではアレンと生物はよい友だちになっていた。 アレンはこういった。「家にかえらなければ。いつもの通りのごはんをたべなくちゃ。だけどもしよかったいっしょにこない？」 生物は「いきます。うれしいです」といった。 アレンと生物はとてもなかのよい友だちになって、そしてアレンは生物に人間らしくなることを教え、生物はアレンに宇宙生物らしくなることを教えた。
nce there was a man named Allen.Allen liked to read the newspaper,once he read the newspaper and it said,"There are creatures from another planet in France. "Allen was scared.Two weeks later Allen went down to his basement and he looked at the door.He was sure he saw the doorknob turn.Allen was too scared.He turned away.Suddenly Allen heard something,he turned around and there were tiny people.It was hot out so Allen ran up the stais and out the door.He thought he would go to the park and take a walk."This will take away the feeling that I'm scared."Allen said to his self.Two hours later Allen went back home. The creatures were gone!It was close to midnight.Allen went to bed,it was along day.When he woke up he heard a loud noise coming from the basement.He went down to the basement.The strange creatures were back.Allen closed his eyes then opened them."I think I'll take a nap and when I wake up they'll be gone,"Allen went upstais and went to bed.Allen woke up in space.He look! ed around.The spaceship that he was in looked like a home,but with more interesting things.They had a whole wall of t.vs that only told them where they were going.Allen said,"let me go home.""No! you stay with us for two months, you teach us about your world and we will teach you about our world,and I'll teach you about our world."Meanwhile,Allen's friend came to his house.He knocked on the door and said,"Allen are you home?"Nobody answered.Back in space Allen and the creatures were becoming good friends.Allen said,"I need to go home, I need to eat my regular food but you can come with me if you like.""Yes!Wewill be very happy."the creatures said.Allen and the creatures became very good friends,and Allen taught them to be like humans,and the creatures taught Allen to be like a creature.
