"The Signal"

M
y name is Jane Jupiter, I study space with my grandpa Jack.

It was a routine morning for my grandfather and I, monitoring sounds from space, when something unusual popped up on my computer screen. We were getting signals from an unknown part of space! Grandpa quickly pulled out all of his strange gadgets. The super doodleizer, the crazy crazmotaz, and the X-Y-zeebezoo.Grandpa Jack told me to call N.A.S.A. right away. I grabbed the telephone and spread the news until it reached the president of the United States.

We worked day and night trying to crack-the-code. The next day, we finally figured out the first word, it was "Welcome." We were wondering if it was from aliens. The message could be,"Welcome to your worst nightmare," or "Are we welcome to come to your planet?" There were so many possibilities! As we were finishing the last few words we were filled with fear and excitement all at the same time.

All the commotion ran out of us when we unscrambled the words.

"Welcome to Burger King, May I Take Your Order?"
It was just some resturant's satelite that got mixed up with ours.

Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait untill next time, if there is a next time...
