ourtney gazed wistfully out the window at her seemingly unoticed crush who was innocently raking leaves across the street from her. His rugged handsomeness showed brightly through the sweat that appeared on his brow. His muscles rippled as the take flwe in complete control ove his head and onto the leaves. She longed for his powerful arms to embrace her affectionately, but then reality snapped into her mind like a lightning bolt as her parents called her to the car, for they were moving within that very hour. She had cried herself to sleep many times, regretting this day.
Her pillow was like a treasure chest, each tear that fell upon it carried some memory that lingered on -immortal, as long as she reminded herself of it every night. She dragged her tourtured soul into the car and when it was pulling out of the driveway, she burst out crying. Her one love was being left behind, almost as if he was some used couch, being carried away forever, onto a new life.
She rolled down the window, and sobbing she yelled, "Brett McHarrison, I will love you until the sky turnes black and the moon falls and crushes my poor soul."
He took a step towards the car, as if in pursuit of it, but he held back. The rake fell from his hand when the car rolled over the hill, as her last cries grew fainter in the wind.
