Dawn was known all over the Elfkin Island. She was the gaurdine of Green Garden, the most beautiful place on Elfkin Island. There were tall bars made of gold surronding the garden, so only the choicen may enter. There were mile's of row's of every kind of flower imaginable. There were tall tree's of all sort's, and the sweetest fruit ever in the garden.
Dawn felt like the happiest elf ever because she was choicen for this very important job of gaurding the Green Garden. But Dawn wasn't very good at this job. She often took nap's in a shaded area, or ate the sweet apple's from a near by tree. She even let the animal's lead her away from her post.
So one day, as Dawn was out playing with a fawn she had named Tutis, a stranger came to the gate's. A small boy holding a bag over his shoulder. "Hello" he yelled threw the gate's. "Is anyone here?"
No answer came from beyong the gate, so the boy tried again, but still no answer. The boy began climbing the gate, and found it not to be all that hard. As he was jumping over the gate Dawn came back, loosing the racing came she had with the Fawn. "Who are you?" she asked racing a dagger from her boot."I am Leo" he said holding his hands high in the air. "Please don't hurt me, I mean no harm."
"What do you want here?" Dawn asked.
"I want a home" he replied.
"Where is your familly?"
"I do not know" Leo said. "I have come along way, please do not send me away."
"But.." Dawn began. "I will get in lots of trouble if King Reyon and Queen Tonya come and find you here. I may even get banished from the Island forever."
"I am sorry then, I will leave" Leo said as he bagan climbing the gate.
"No please, stay."
"Why?"
"It is very lonely here. And I know the King and Queen won't mind having a second gaurdine."
"Are you sure?" Leo asked jumping down from where he stood half way up the gate.
"Yes" she said with a smile.
"Thank-you" Leo said coming to her.
