Scientists call it the Chinstrap penguin because it has a black strap on its chin. It eats plankton, squid, and small fish. Its height is 27 inches. Its weight is ten pounds. It lays its eggs in the Antarctic summer.

The Chinstrap penguin's nest is made from rocks and pebbles. They lay one or two eggs per year. Male and females stay together for most of their life. They toboggan on their tummies to get to places faster. They are great swimmers. you might think that they fly, but no--they fly in the water!
