"An Ant-lion and Tom the Ant"
by
Maiko Hosoda

Once upon a time, there were Tom and Jinny, the ants. One morning, Tom woke up very early in the morning to find snacks because he wanted to make his friends happy. Tom went to the field and saw a person who went on hiking. When Tom went close to the person, he found the crumbs of snacks. He carried a piece back to his home and then met an Ant-lion.

"Hi, Mr. Ant-lion."

"Hi, Tom. Would you please give me a piece of snacks?"

"Nah. I brought this for Momo and Jinny."

"It's nasty what you just said."

"No. I just say what I want to say."

"You must want to go down to my home, a cone-shaped hole."

"What? Your hole?"

"Yes, That's right."

"Hyaaaaaaaa!"

Then Momo heard his voice and said to Jinny.

"That must be Tom. I havenユt seen him since this morning.

"Let's go and find him.モ

Momo and Jinny followed his voice.

"Hi, Mr. Ant-lion. Have you seen Tom?

"Yes, I have."

"Do you know where he went?"

"He is there."

"What? What did you say?"

Then Tom was coming out of the hole.

"Oh, well. I am saved."

"Tom, I am glad you are okay."

Then the Ant-lion got busted. That's the end of my story.
