"Mink"

nce upon a time in a forest there was a little bird taking his afternoon glide through the tall tree's branches and under the clouds that strechted from one tree to the next. As he was turing into his home corner he spied a little thing. The thing was moving he thought that this was a little creepy so he flew down closer to see what the thing or animal was. So he flew very quietly down to the nearest branch and looked between the narrow trees. As he looked he had found out that he had seen a tiny little baby rabbit. The rabbit looked so lost and very very scared so the brave bird decided to go right up to the rabbit and ask it it's name. So that was what he did. He asked and found out that it's name was Mink. Since Mink was so little and the bird was so kind he asked Mink to get on his back and the bird would let him come and sleep in his nest in the woods until morning where they would look for Mink's parents. Mink acepted and said he thought it was a great idea. The next day Mink and the bird went out to look for his parents but their friends helped to. Mink searched small places like under bushes and in burrows. Th e bird searched in high places and so did his friends. They searched all day and did not find anything but they were determined to find the rabbit's parents. So they searched the next day and did not find anything but did find a note that said...
Dear Mink,
We are going to search in the
meadows and grasslands near the forest
we are sorry we did not tell you this
you must be worried. We are sleeping
at mole's house and are going to be
back soon we wanted to tell you if
you need any help come to mole's but
remember only at night who knows who is
up in the daytime. We love you so
much!

So now that we know where your mother and father are we can come see them I can take you and you can ride on my back because I have been out of the forest many times but I don't know where mole's house is so you have to show me. This will be great. "Yeah," said Mink. So that night they were of and by day they reached moles house. Mink was so excited that he kept screaming so much that the bird had to cover Mink's mouth up.The mole was also very excited he to jumped with joy to see the little rabbit Mink.After the excitement was over the mother and father of Mink returned home.They hugged and nibbled and played and laughed so hard they almost lost their voices. Finaly after all of that excitement was over they all settled down in the mole's den and talked and laughed and had fun. But as you know the bird had to go home and leave Mink with his parents. So he was sad that night for he had to leave the next day. But what he did not know was that he would get a surprise before he left. In the morning while the bird was sleeping the family of rabbits scurried around to get the surprise ready. So when the bird woke they all shouted SURPRISE!!!!! and scared the bird so much he laughed. But when he left to go back he was happy anstead of sad because of the giant Surprise.
