 ne sunny afternoon The Brook’s family was eating lunch. When Joe said’’, lets go on a walk in the woods. Sounds good to me. Said the rest of the family. “Well okay.’’ said his brother. They walked up and down hills for a quit a while. Then they saw a meadow that was filled with yellow and white daisies. They saw two squeals on the far side of the meadow and began to run toward them. As they got closer they heard what sounded like a bear growl. They looked up and saw a big black bear standing on his back feet. The bear started running towards them and Joe and his brother and sister started running away from the bear. The bear chased them until they came to a road. They recognized the road and began running back towards their house. After awhile they realized the bear had stopped chasing them and they all stopped to catch their breath. Joe looked up and said, “Told you I would find my special tree! There before them w2as the largest tree in the forest. It had a ladder that led up to a playhouse. Joe ran up to the ladder and said. “Come on, lets go see what’s inside. There they found a couple of chairs and a table with a map on it. The map showed them how to get back to their home. The sun was setting and Joe decided it was time to head home. They all had a great adventure, but were glad to be home again. |
