April 18, 2005: One day before my birthday! Yep, me, Matt Wendell, turns 25 tomorrow. Dang, Iím lucky. On my birthday Iím going to a island
I saw near San Francisco. Iím taking my friend, Linda Vines, from Canada
and people in the Animal World Company. It will be so fun. Iíll be in history. Linda will be in history too.

April 19 2005: I met Linda at the airport and we went to a beach near San Francisco. The Animal World Company brought a boat so we can sail to that island. When we got there it was amazing with a lot of grass. The sand felt like walking on a cloud. A man named Jack, the boss of Discovery Planet Company, wants to turn this to a city! That would make money, but we need a place for animals more.

April 20: Linda and I checked on the wide-open space and the company checked on the jungle areas. We saw two hyenas playing around. Then the hyenas spotted us but they just ran away. The Animal World Company was studying birds. We saw a lot of hyenas today they didn't attack. They were friendly.

April 21 2005: What a day! Linda and I started to go back to San Francisco to bring bricks to build on the island. Suddenly Jack captured us and tied us to a tree so he can build a city on this island and destroy the trees and hurt the anmals.

Unbelievable! The hyenas untied us! We contacted the police by radio and they arrested Jack.

April 25, 2005 Linda and I are going to become the new heads of Animal World. Iíve suggested the new name, Hyena Island, for our new animal sanctuary. Life is good.
