 n 1607, Henry Hudson became man of the sea. Hudson traveled along the shoreline of Greenland and made it to Spitsberg. Unfortunately, because of huge ice flows, he had to return to England. He was very sad, and disappointed. In 1608, he tried again to find a northern passage, however the ice was impossible for his Hopewell crew to travel. In 1609, the Dutch East India Company gave him his ship, Half Moon. Then he died many years later. |
