"The Jolly Postman (A Wrap Poem)"
by
Noor

T
he Jolly postman travels everywhere
He goes to the woods to meet baby bear

He gives him a letter from the famous Goldilock
He drinks his tea and leaves at ten o'clock

Then he goes to the ginger Bread house
There by the door was little grey mouse

He gave an Ad. to the ancient magic witch
Who's fond of spells and lays on a ditch

She kindly gave him a cake that was red
He didn't want to eat it, afraid to stay in bed

He goes on his way to reach the sky
But alas the postman could not really fly

He stumbled and fell on a big beanstalk
He knocked on the door and didn't want to talk

There he met Mr. VVB
He let him inside but didn't give him tea

With baby on his feet, he gave him soda drink
He sat on baby's cube and gulped it in a blink

He gave him a card from his friend Jack
He then said goodbye with a bag on his back

Off he went to the Charming's Castle road
He rang on the bell with a loving rhyming code

Charming Cinderella opened for him the door
She let him inside in the first floor

He gave her a letter from an author of long ago
She gave him champagne and wouldn't let him go

Then he stops by granny's little hut
Would he go inside? the door is shut!

The greedy needy fox is lying in bed
With granny's white nightie and a bonnet on his head

"Who's on the door?" with an ugly voice he said
He quickly threw a letter and then he fled

It's time to party and forget the scarey fox
He'll deliver a card and a present in a box

Guess for who? Yes, for Goldilocks
Who sent bear a letter with baby's blocks

"I'm so tired" said the Jolly postman
It's time to go home, with his bike he ran

No more sending letters, no more drinking tea
I'll open my home door with my own key

Tonight the postman will fall asleep
But tomorrow he'll travel with his bike and beep

Again he will go everywhere
He'll deliver a letter here and there

May be to you and may be to me
Wait till tomorrow and you will see!

The End
