O
nce upon a time a child named Cassie had a perfect life, parents and a sister. She loved her family very much and never wanted anything to happen to them. Then one day Casie went to her best friends house and was outside playing when all of a sudden they hear fire engines and sirens. They ran to the corner of the house to see what was going on. But they couldn't see anything, just smoke.

About an hour later, Cassie's uncle came to her friends house. He said "Cassie, I have some terrible news, Your family has been in a extreme accident in which they died in a serious fire." Cassie could't believe it! She was so cold and frightened that she couldn't think straight. She was an orphan now, and no one can change that.
Her uncle took her to the homeless shelter where someone will adopt her. He couldn't take care of her because her aunt was in the hospital, she's getting ready to have a baby.

When Cassie arrived, there were a group of children there ready to greet her. They all had a brother or sister with them, except Cassie. She felt alone in the world, and wished she had a friend. She did, but she's miles apart from her, and she believed she would never go back.

One day at lunch, a little girl was sitting alone, so Cassie decided this was her chance to get a friend. The little girl's name was Reshanka, and she was was from India. Her parents died in the 2004 Tsunami, and she was alone too. They both became the best of friends, watching out for each other and taking care of them both. Almost like sisters.

Then one day, a beautiful looking family came in looking forward to adopt a girl. They came over to me and said "This is the on we want!" I suddenly felt like I did when my family died. "You can't take me, unless you take my friend with me," said Cassie, "So, you either take us both, or you find someone else." Well this family really liked Cassie, and they didn't want anyone else, so they took the both of them. Now the two girls were really sisters, and both weren't alone anymore!
