nce upon a time, in April of 1996 a young girl named Amy and her best friend Amanda went to Greenville high in North Carolina.

They had everything. Lockers that open, cool classes (except biology I mean who would want to disect anything anyway?). Yes Amy had it all, except one thing, a boyfriend. Knowing this, people teased her.

Little did she know her luck was about to change.
As Amy and Amanda boarded the train an old woman named
Astronoma couldnít get on .So they helped her on board, and then gave up their seats. Astronoma was a witch, but a good one, or so she said. For a reward she gave each girl a wish. Amanda said ìthanks but no,î and Amy wished for you guessed it, a boyfriend.

The next day was amazing! Amy met Ricardo the boy of her dreams.
They decided to go out on Saturday. The rest of the week was astonishing! Amy was bought lunch from the best restaurants in town. Plus by Saturday she had gotten a French manicure, a new outfit, perfume and makeup! ìSaturday is finally here!î exclaimed Amy. At seven oíclock the doorbell rang. Amy rushed down stairs and opened the door and there he was. Ricardo was standing there with chocolates and flowers. So the date began. First they went to dinner, after that a movie, then for ice cream and finally a walk by the lake.
Right before they left Ricardo said, îBe right back!ì As he was leaving he pushed her into the lake! Then ran to the rest room without her seeing. When he came back he acted surprised and jumped in and saved her. He said he was sorry he didnít see her attacker and took her home. Everyone was asleep when Amy got home.î Perfect ì she thought.
Amy had another great week with her boyfriend, but on their next date Ricardo put on a mask and tried to stab her with a knife! So the next Saturday before their date Amy called Ricardo and said:î Ricardo, unfortunately things just arenít working out, Iím afraid its over!î When Ricardo heard this he took off his disguise and there was the true Ricardo, Ricardo the hairyman. A creature with a rattlesnake tail, sharp claws and fangs dripping with poison! S o with glowing red eyes he called her back. He said ìAmy, come see me one last time in the woods! ì Reluctantly she agreed and grabbed her coat. When she got to the woods she saw Ricardo but it wasnít Ricardo, it was Ricardo the hairyman! Amy fled for the car.

As she drove she could hear Ricardo roar but didnít dare look back. Finally she reached to what the old geezer in the wine shop called Hairyman Road. Legend has it if a hairyman or woman set foot on the road they canít leave. When Amy got there, she watched Ricardo jump behind her car, before speeding away. Still praying when she looked back she saw Ricardo hitting something in front of him. So now Amy lives by one rule be careful, what you wish for.
