ong time ago in North of Sulawesi, there was a city called To Un Rano that is now called Tondano. In that city there was a girl called Lintang. She really likes to sing.

One day a prince named Dani heard that there was a pretty girl in that city. When he heard that, he has a flute that is made from gold and he wants to give it to her. After that he went to that city to give that flute to her. When he met that girl, that girl was suprised to see Prince Dani. When she saw that he is going to give her the flute she really likes it. Then, he proposed her. Then, she accept it. So, she leaved To Un Rano.

On the way, there were 2 boys that didn't want Lintang to go away from this city. So, they put a rotten egg to the flute to make Lintang didn't like it anymore. When she arrived there, she was suprised that it was bad when she is about to play it. So, she went back to that city. When she arrived there, she met a handsome boy named Makasiga. He was tough and smart. Lintang told him that "could you please make me a musical instrument that is nice?" So, he made it with some wood. He didn't eat at all. So, he died. Then a few years later, Lintang did also died. And that instrument is called Kolintang.
