nce upon a time in West Sumatra,There is a story about Malin Kundang. One day in a beach live a boy named Malin Kundang. He's named Malin Kundang because kundang means he's always carried everywhere.

One day he was running. Then he fell down . That's why he had a scar until he was big. When he's big he sailed to another place. His mother missed him alot so she prayed to him. One day a captain of a ship came. Malin Kundang's mother asked him "what happened to Malin Kundang?" The captain answered, "he married a rich girl".

Days after that a ship came. It was Malin Kundang's ship. When Malin Kundang came down his mother hugged him. Then he said "your'e not my mother". Then Malin Kundang kicked her and his wife spit on her. Then he sailed again.

His mother said if he is my son make him to stone. Not long after that a storm came. The next day Malin Kundang turned to stone.
