"Over one million!" Sean joked. He was another dog in Chris' dream. All the dogs laughed. Then, Chris woke up. After that dream, Chris' life would never be the same again. Chris Rufo, a normal girl living in Newton Massacusetts, was on her way home from school. It was out for the summer. As she walked, she heard a voice saying, "Oh, MEAT! I love master owning meat shop!" She shook her head and looked at a dog in a barber shop, jumping up at the barber, wishing for a large raw peice of meat. Then, she heard, "Here fishy, fishy, fishy!" She heard. Then, she heard a cat squeal and a big splash. "Can't be, it is! A cat squeal! Oh! come to papa! Or mama." Then, Chris saw a dog starring into the window with the squealing cat in it. A dog padded up to Chris. The dog shook it's tail and painted. "You are needed! Hello, can you here me?" the dog thought. "Yes, who are you and what's going on?"
"You have a gift. And to answer your first question, my name is Samantha. Now Christine, you need to help us with a certain problem. People are sending thier dogs off to live in the wild. Us house dogs can not survive out there. We need your help." By now, people were starring at Chris. Chris whispered to Samantha, "I think people are starring, let's continue the talk at my house. At Chris' house, Samantha told Chris about how and why the humans were releasing thier house dogs to the wild. "Okay, I'll help, but how?" Chris said. "You will tell everyone how we feel." Sam barked. "Let's get started." she thought. The next day, Chris and millions of dogs started a strike. They circled the town and every body got the sense that Chris had gone crazy.
"That girl of yours has blown her top." The next door neighbor said. "You see, she says she can read animals minds. They tell her you're abusing the dogs. They want her help." Mrs. Rufo said. The next day Chris and the dogs continued their strike. This time, Chris yelled out, "UNFAIR TO THE DOGS!" Just so they didn't have to hear the girl scream all day, they gave in. And Chris still has powers, but doesn't use them that much anymore. |
