ucy and Debbie were best friends. They did everything together. They had tea together, they read a book at the same time together, they even went to the toilet together.

One day Debbie wanted a change, she didn't want Lucy to be her best mate any more. She didn't want to be the same any more. This made poor Lucy sad.

Years later, Lucy met Debbie in a shop. They hadn't talked to each other for years, but losing each other as a best mate was hard.

"Hi",said Lucy. "Look, i know we haven't talked for years, but you really are my bestest mate". Debbie agreed.

"Yes",she said. "Your my mate too, no matter what i say to make you sad or happy".
