"The Day I Went To School and Nobody was There "
by
Shelby

Iwalked down the isle, it was empty. The bus driver stopped each and every stop, but nobody else got on.

When the bus stopped at my school, I did not see any other kids walking in. While I walked in I started to wonder, "Did they not want to come to school on my birthday?" Could it possibly be a Saturday? It couldn't be, my birthday is on a Friday.

I went to my classroom. It was unlocked. I was surprised. There were muffins on the teacher's desk. They made me hungry. I wished I could have one.

I went out into the hall, and I started to walk. I was looking for somebody else who was foolish enough to come to school today. Nobody else had come to school today. I was embarrassed, but I was glad nobody else was there to see me.

Since I was so hungry, I went to the lunch room. There was one lunch on the table. I took it I was so hungry. I hate string beans, but that was what there was, so I ate them. I thought I would die if I did'nt eat them, without anybody even knowing.

I wish the day was over. I wanted to go home, but I knew the bus would not come this early. I walked back to my classroom. Then I realized I could mess stuff up, so I hid Charles pencil sharpner. When I got bored with that, I sat there and tried to think of something to do. I thought of Gym. I love gym. I like to walk on the stilts.

I started walking. I think we should have days like this more often. Me alone. I opened the gym door. Surprise! The whole school was in there throwing a party for me. My best friend came over to me. She said, "Here is your birthday muffin."
Well, I guess birthday wishes come true. I got my muffin.
