It was Eve and I was sitting on the couch with my sister, Hannah, watching SpongeBob Squarepants while my mom was in the kitchen our dad was outside putting up the lights. Suddenly, I heard a big crashing sound. I went outside to see what it was. It was my dad. He had fallen into the trashcan again while putting up the lights. For some odd reason, every year, he falls off the ladder and directly into the trashcan. No one knows why. It just happens!
Later that night, Hannah and I had to go to bed. My mom had to read every single story we have. About an hour later my mom was done and I could finally go to sleep. BUT I COULDN'T! Hannah wanted to watch Clifford, so my mom turned on the T.V. in my room and put in the video. Thankfully, I fell asleep during the video and so did Hannah.
Later, at 5am, Hannah and I woke up to see if Santa came yet. Instead of just presents, there was presents and Santa! Hannah made a little squeaky laugh of joy that she always does when she's happy. I put my hand over her mouth so she would be quiet. Then all of a sudden Santa starts singing ''Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.'' Then he turned around and Hannah ran up to him and she asked him if she had been a good girl this year. ''Of course, Santa said, yes'' and he showed her her presents. My mouth dropped. It was like a gold mine of ! Then I asked Santa if I was a good kid this year and he said yes. Then he showed me my presents. TWO! Only two presents and my four-year-old sister probably had over 50 presents. I asked Santa why I had only two presents and she had over 50. He just shrugged and said, ''I don't know. I think the gave her everything on her list.'' Then Hannah went up to Santa and asked him if she could ride in his sleigh. ''Of course, Santa s! aid, yes.'' So Santa took Hannah and I to the sleigh and he showed us the reindeer. They were huge! Santa gave us each a carrot to feed them.
After we fed the reindeer we got in the sleigh with Santa. He had a hot chocolate maker and a maker just like in the movie ''The Santa Clause.'' The only difference was we had to pay 50 cents for each dispenser. We were broke so we didn't buy anything. About two minutes later, Santa called the reindeer's names and we took off into the foggy sky. I wasn't sure if there was a "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" so I looked ahead at the front of the line and I saw a red light shining in the sky. The answer was yes. I asked Santa where we were going and he said the North Pole. Since the reindeer were going so fast we got there in 5 minutes.
When we got inside all the stared at us. I don't know why. All of a sudden, Hannah runs up to an X Box and starts playing an Elmo game. Then an elf comes up to me with a huge pile of that were on my list. The elf says," We made a mistake. You get all the on your list just like your sister." Santa comes up and says, " Oh yeah, that's why Hannah got more than you at your ." Kind of rude, don't you think? After that, I got my and Hannah and then Santa took us around the Toy Shop.
There were and everywhere! I saw everything from a plastic horse to a mini car to drive. Then Santa tells us to get in the sleigh because it was time to go home. So we all got in the sleigh. Once again Santa called all the reindeer's names and we set off with Rudolph's nose glowing. We really didn't need it because it was almost daylight. Then Hannah yells right in my ear, "THERE'S OUR !" With a big thump we landed on top our . Then Santa gave us some magic dust so we could get our . I grabbed all my wrapped list presents and got Hannah. Just then Santa told us to throw the dust at the door and then the door would unlock. So we did what he said. IT WORKED! Then we waved at Santa just when he was taking off.
Right after that Hannah and I walked inside. Hannah went straight for the T.V., turned it on, and then ran right into our parent's bedroom. They were still asleep. I looked at the clock. It was almost 6:30 so it was ok to wake then up. I put my pile of presents under the tree. My parents came down the hall with Hannah. Hannah showed them our presents and she told them all about the trip. They just looked at each other with a puzzled look on their faces. They didn't believe us and they never will.
We opened our presents and wrapping was thrown everywhere! It flew around and around because the fan was on. Everyone had to help pick it up. It was really hard to get every single tiny piece.
Later that night, every one went to bed and it was so quiet that we could hear the crickets chirping. Finally, I could go to sleep with out Hannah singing a song that's on Clifford. I went to sleep wondering if the whole Santa thing would happen next year. I hope so!
