" Collie Rescue"

O
ne cold early January morning I was thinking about my friends, Ellie May, Amber, Sugar, Sqeeker, Dolly, Mickey, Cori, Sunny, Melody, and Mary.
There used to be 17 of us, now there are only 7 of us. While I was thinking about them and how they left this terrible life of hardly any water, food, and shelter. I heard a sudden slam of a car door and then a few more. I cocked my head over to the noise and saw some cars.
Why are they here? I thought. Then they came to the gate and opened it. "We are here to take you to a better life!" exlaimed one of the Collie Rescue workers. They took all of us fur-matted collies to their warm cars and loaded us in. I was as scared as a mouse who is trapped by a cat because I didn't know what was happening.
The car started bumping around on the gravel roadss as it started to move. All of a sudden, my brother, Bear bumped into me. I pushed him back and then he bit my ear and split it open. That hurt as much as slamming your tail in the door. Finally, the car stopped at a place taht looked really friendly. It looked as if it would reach out and hug you.
All of us were unloaded from the cars and brought in by the rescue workers. I was so glad to be away from my brother right then. The people inside started cutting off our fur, I guess they were cutting it off because it was so very matted. Then they washed us with soap and water. I was so soothing that I almost feel asleep in that warm as a blanket over you, water. We were all taken outside adn we all got to eat some food.
All of a sudden, there was a stampede of people rushing towards us. I was confused. Then each dog started going home with their very own families. "Goodbye Destiny, Tiffany, goodbye Tyler, goodbye Missy, goodbye Boomer and goodbye Bear!" I yelped. "here is my family?" I thought. I heard a voice say, "Hi Duncan. You are coming home with me." I looked up at a women with twinkling brown eyes, short brown hair, and a big friendly smile. I just gazed at her with my big puppy eyes. She loaded me into her big red car adn we drove away from that friendly place.
Now I'm living with that kind women, who's name is Karen, her husband's name is Dave, two other collies named Bandit and Katie and a big chubby cat named Patches. Sometimes we go for walks and once in a while there is a girl, named Shannon, who visits and hugs me a lot. I am the happiest, most comfortable collie because of my new life!
