long long time ago,
in a place far far away,
there lived a mermaid who liked to play,
she played in the waves,
she played on the sand,
but she wished that she could play on land,
she wanted to play in grass long and thin,
she wanted to play on the dirt,
she wanted to sing a beautiful song about the glorious earth,
her father, the king of the beautiful sea,
wanted her, to stay underneath,
he did not want her playing up on the land,
"my daughter, you stay on the glorious sand,"
but father she said in a cute little voice,
"no buts." father said,
"You have no choice"
"you must play in the sea, not on land,
you must play in the glorious sand"
so the mermaid she went and sat down in room,
she would not come out,
not ever she boomed,
her father got mad,
he got very mad,
he knocked down her door and shouted to all,
"You will be here no more"
and with that,
he thrust out his staff,
he waved it about shouting "allamacbaf"
then the poor mermaid roseup out of the sea,
and to her amazement she grew human feet!
she landed on the land,
on the bright yellow sand,
she was happy and joyfull,
she was astounded too,
and then she heard from the sea down below a sound which made her very very sad,
a faint " boohoohoo" could be heard from below,
and remember her mother and her brothers too,
they must be the ones who were crying boohoo,
she yelled "I am coming"
then turned with a flash
she dived into the water and did not look back,
but just as she was near to her home,
her father said to her "you must be gone"
he said 'I said you could come here no more, I ment what I said, nothing less nothing more"
and then he pushed her up to the land and landed her gently,
again on the sand,
and she realized that she had made a wrong choice,
she would never see her family,
only hear their voice.
