"The Trip to the Island"

T
he water crashing on the shore, Joe, the skipper of a ship, struggled to keep the ship from sinking in the violent storm. Then he woke up. It had all been a dream.

He got up and looked out at the ocean. He saw a destroyed ship. He ran out of his nice home to look at it. It was the U.S.S. Qua. It had a greenish tint to it from years of rusting. He said, "I wonder where this came from."

He paused looking at some shards of copper. He went in to the hull of the ship, and he saw a painting of an island. Then he remembered a dream he had a while ago. In the dream there was an island. It looked exactly like the island in the painting. The years of dust on the painting had damaged it severely, so he couldn't see what the beach of the island looked like. Right after the sighting of the painting, he ran out and began to pack. He put in food, rope, clothes, and items, which could get him some more food. He walked from his nice, small, white house to a cave. The entrance to the cave was dark and ominous.

After he had entered the cave, he took out a lantern and held it in front of him. He saw nothing but stalactites and stalagmites. He walked forward carefully, for he was afraid he would fall. After he was deep within the cave, he heard a snapping noise. Within a few seconds he found that he was at a dead end. A few seconds after the discovery the floor gave out underneath him. He fell into some water, and the lantern went out. He figured that he should try to swim forward. He had lost most of his food, and two of his lanterns. He swam forward for what seemed like hours. Then finally he reached dry land. He lit a new lantern and found that he was in the center of a huge lake in the dark cave. He was on a small island with three bridges going in three different directions.

He began to cross a bridge when he heard a snapping noise. The whole bridge collapsed causing a tidal wave heading towards the other shore. He was swept up to the ceiling. He held onto the ceiling. Then a slimy green liquid came from a pipe. He said "Sewage!! I know we shouldn't have had sewage go through here!" He jumped off the ceiling, and he fell in to the lake. He ran out screaming. Finally I am out of the cave.

He saw another lake. He saw a boat. He said "A boat!" Joe ran to the boat and started to paddle it to a river leaving the lake when a shark flew out of the water. He saw some piranhas. Then his boat began to sink. He saw an electric eel. Joe began to run on water. He got to the other shore with great speed. He saw an ominous jungle. He took out a sword and began to cut the weeds out of his way. The weeds were the size of the Empire State building. When they went to the ground the ground shaked. He threw his sword down and began to run. He ran through a river. He started to walk again. He was lost. The jungle was so thick that he couldn't see through any of the trees. He looked for a cave, but he didn't find one. He began to panic. He ran into trees. Then he said "a tree!" He began to climb up it. It took him two days to climb up the tree.

When he reached the top, he screamed and fell down. He climbed up again. When he got to the top he screamed and fell down. He climbed up again. When he got up he screamed and fell down. He climbed up again. Before he got to the top, he fell down and said "medic". He saw a ladder. He climbed up the ladder. He saw a platform. He stood up on the platform. There connected to the platform were a series of platforms. He carefully walked on the walkway. He spent a few days on those walkways. When he got to the end of the jungle he closed his eyes and jumped off of the platform. He was so glad that he had made it to the ocean. He landed in a desert.

He spat out the sand and began to walk. He walked and walked. He began to starve. He was out of food. He saw a lake. He ran to it and began fishing. He pulled out a..... scorpion. It was a mirage. He ran around screaming "Sand! Sand!" He ran all the way to a cliff. He jumped off head first.

He landed in a swamp. He captured an alligator. He rode on it until he got to a mountain. He ate the alligator. He then climbed the icy passageway. As the struggle between ice and man went on, he fell asleep.

He had a different dream. In the dream he was sleeping. He woke up. He got to the summit. Then he saw a boat. He jumped into the water. He fished and got some food. The ship was called U.S.S. Qua 2. He took the steel boat and rode it for days. He finally found the island he was looking for. He saw the beach. It was littered with crabs. It was Crab Island. Next to it was Sandwich Island. He stopped there and ate some sandwiches. He went over to the island with the crabs. He saw a volcano. He began to climb the volcano. In it he found a cave. He managed to see it. There was a painting. A piece was missing. He put the painting he found in the U.S.S. Qua. It formed a cyclorama. It spun around and around. It eventually disappeared. It left with it a cave.

He went in and found a pile of gold. He took all of the gold and made tons of money. He then used the island as his new home. He lived happily ever after to the end of his life, eating sandwiches and not having a single one of his boat dreams. So, he lived happily ever after till the end of his life on the island of his dreams.
