nce there was a girl who had a hard time at school. Her name was Samantha Williams. Samantha loved to play sports, but the boys made fun of her and said,"You can't play sports, you're just a girl who loves to wear dresses and high-heel shoes."
That was a total lie to Samantha since she only wore dresses to special occasions and she believed that you could break your ankle wearing high-heels. Samantha did not like the boys making fun of her and she was so sensitive, that when she got home, she started crying. Her mom walked in wondering what was wrong.
"Nothing, I'm fine!" Samantha sobbed.
"No you're not," her mother replied.
Samantha told her mom the entire story and her mom agreed to help her.
"You can do what ever you want to do Samantha and no one will change that. If you want to play football, basketball, any kind of sport, you go ahead and do it," her mother explained.
Samantha wiped her eyes. She hugged her mom and thanked her because she felt more confident.
The next day, Samantha grabbed a basketball and started shooting. The group of boys and their leader Matthew saw Samantha and thought they had taught her a lesson. They walked over to her and stole the ball.
Samantha yelled," What is your problem?"
"You," Matthew yelled back, "We thought we taught you a lesson yesterday that girls cannot play sports!"
"I can do what ever I want to, now give me my ball back!" she screamed.
Matthew said she'd have to jump for it since everyone knows Matthew is extremely tall. Samantha was so angry that she kicked him in the shin really hard!
"Yoooouuuuch!!!" Matthew screamed, and he started crying.
All of the boys thought he was tough, but know they saw that the biggest bully around was beaten by a girl! The rest of the boys left Matthew. A teacher ran over to check on him and asked,
"What happened?"
"The ball hit him in the head." Samantha replied with a grin on her face.
When she got home, her mother asked," So, what happened at school today?"
"Nothing much, except I finally got some respect about me playing sports," she replied.
From then on, no one hassled Samantha about her playing sports. And, if anyone bothered Samantha's friends about playing sports, they'd have to answer to her.
