O
nce upon a time there was a boy named Marcus who lived an average life. His neighbors weren't the same, for Marcus had never seen them before. He always wondered about their big mansion, and no car, only horseless carriage. So Marcus went to the door. He used the knocker to knock. The door fell open. W

hen Marcus went inside his first step made a crackling noise. Marcus looked down. To his horror there was a skeleton whose ribs Marcus had just cracked! Marcus jumped only about 20 feet then hitting the cobwebbed ceiling. He came down with a thud. But Marcus wasn't all that scared he went on. Through the winding, twisting, dusty hallway Marcus went.

Just as Marcus stepped on the carpet, the floor gave way. Marcus fell deeper deeper deeper deeper deeper deeper when he thought that he would never see daylight again, Marcus turned on his flashlight. To his discontent, it went out. He started to hear a screeching sound. He hit the floor. It was covered in dead rats. A rancid smell floated through the air. Marcus suddenly started to hear moaning noises. Not thinking, Marcus ran. Hearing footsteps that sounded like some huge bear, Marcus didn't care he kept running in the dark completely blinded. When he hit a wall with a ladder. Marcus didn't care, he climbed like the wind, when he saw yet another skeleton. This one was on the ladder along with Marcus. He seemed to have carved something out. It read, "Hel" the writing wasn't finished, but it looked like whoever wrote it didn't have the time to finish it.

The ladder started to shake. Marcus looked down, what he saw were some zombies! They looked human, although their flesh was decomposing, and some parts of them were just bone. Instead of killing Marcus and ending the story, they said, "W-w-we are n-not y-your e-n-enemies! W-w-we are trying to h-help y-you g-g-get away from the monster". Marcus thought, "How should I trust them?" He thought, finally he said, "what should I do?" exclaimed Marcus. "Bop him on the nose!"

The monster came charging at Marcus. It came to a grinding halt. It was impossible to see, because it was just a dark silhouette. It ate the zombies then, Marcus jumped on the head of the creature and "WHAM-O" down the creature went. It hit the ground with a thud. Marcus climbed up the ladder to find himself in the basement of his own home. "YAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" Marcus exclaimed.

He nailed the entrance shut and never went near the house again.
