Lin and I were walking in the
Forest of the World. We were aruging about who was stronger,
my dad or Lin's dad. Something caught my eye. It was the  !!
As long as I can remember, their has been a village legend that
there were people who had blue beads. They once came to our village
and we gave them a fish for some blue beads. Once a year on Summer's
Night, the blue beads are given to another family to bless them
for the whole year. It was a very special tradition. The lengend
goes that if you find other beads like the blue beads you will
have good luck for your life!!! I went to go grab the blue beads.
When I got closer, Isaw that there were also red and yellow beads.
I pulled some dried berries out of my pocket and left them in
place of the . Then, I ran back to my village with Lin
right behind me. I ran quickly to find Chief Manouck. I showed
the necklace to him and he was filled with delight. That night,
theere was a huge feast in honor of finding ! the necklace. And,
the next day when the men went out to check their crops, all
the croops were healthy. I went back to see if whoever had left
the necklace had taken the berries as a thank you gift and they
had. Uet no one ever came to our village. |
