Once there was a Saint Bernard named Heidi. She had an
owner named Patty. Both of them took walks every day. When they
got home, Heidi would run and jump on her green, yellow, and
red
. One night Patty was drinking coffee and
watching Heidi talk to herself while she was laying and sleeping.
ìGrrrrrrr.î That morning was the same as every morning.
They took a walk. But then one night there was a big
storm.
Patty and Heidi did not take their walk that morning because
Patty had to work really early. Patty could not take Heidi on
a walk. Heidi kept on whining. Then Patty said, ìOK, you
got your way. We will go on the walk right now.î They were
walking down town by the bakery. The
storm was harder to
get through than Patty and Heidi thought. Then the leash unhooked
and a gigantic pile of
fell on Heidi. Patty
looked all around the neighborhood and could not find Heidi.
Then Heidi heard a
that she knew. It was Patty!
Heidi started to b! ark. Patty was crying so hard and saying,
ìItís Christmas Eve and Heidi is not home.î
Then Patty heard a scratching sound. Patty said she was so happy
that Heidi had come home. On Christmas Heidi and Patty sat by
the fireplace
their presents. .
