nce upon a time there was a man named Samuel Slater who wanted to go to England to America with plans to build machinery. The government of england did not allow people to take plans of machinery out of the country. Samuel hid the plans in the heel of his shoe. He then got on a boat and sailed to america. when he got there he used the plans to start a textile manufacturing company. He then started the Industrial Revolution.
