ミランダは１８才。オーガスタメインにお母さんと妹といっしょにくらしています。妹の名前はマンディとマシー。２人とも８年生です。ミランダは学校が大すき。いつだって楽しいことばかりです。ところがある日、新しいクラスメートのトンヤがミランダのことをからかいました。ミランダはすっかり頭にきて、お母さんにいいつけました。お母さんは「むししなさい。かかわるとロクなことにならないわ。相手にしちゃダメ」と、いいました。

ミランダはそれから１か月、お母さんのいいつけを守りました。そんなある日、ミランダは学校でとてもわるい点を取ってしまいました。ミランダは家へ帰ると、おへやにはいって、なきました。けれどもお母さんにテストの点を見せないわけにはいきません。するとお母さんは「本当のことをいったミランダはとてもえらいわ」と、ほめてくれました。ミランダは「お母さん、ありがとう！」と、いいました。ミランダはこんなふうにして、学校をそつぎょうしました。今、ミランダはジェームスという名前のだんなさまと２人のこどもにかこまれて、しあわせにくらしています。

She never got in trouble at all. Untill one day a new girl in her class named Tonya teased her. Now Miranda is not cool! Miranda told her mom and she said "Ignore Tonya. She is trying to get you in trouble. Just Ignore"

A month went by and Miranda did what her mom told her to do. One day at school Miranda got a D- on her division. She went home and went into her room and cried. But she knew she had to show her mom. She showed her mom and her mom said " I am proud of you for telling me the truth. You did the right thing". " Thank you, Mom", Miranda said. Now Miranda finished high school in a nice way. Now she has a good life with a husband named James and 2 children.
