t was just a regular day in Orlando, Florida as I walked out of my 5th grade classroom and walked over to the bus that I rode. When the bus stopped I hopped off and rushed toward my house and the first second I walked in I realized that the back door was open and my first thoughts were that my younger brother (who runs home trying to beat the bus) left it open. I went into his room but he wasn't in there. I checked in the other rooms to see if he was snooping and in hopes that I could get him in trouble by seeing him in the act. I wasn't lucky though he was not in any of the rooms. To know where he was I called his best friend's house. My brother was there and I asked him if he left the back door open before he went to his friends house. 'I went straight over here.''Why?'
'Well someone left the back door open.'
'That's strange.'' Gotta go,bye.'
Then he hung up as I wondered then who left the back door open? I went upstairs checking that nothing was stolen since I'm such a worry wart. When I went into my parents room I looked into the safe and to my amazement it was ajar and the jewels were gone! I immediately called both my mom and dad and told them all what happened. They didn't believe me but they said they were going to come over right away. When they finally arrived I showed them the safe and they were both shocked to see it empty then they called the police. The police came within seconds. They found the suspects fingerprints and started questining people if they saw someone acting suspicious which they hadn't until the police came upon a man who worked at a store and he said that he saw a man walk in and it looked like he robbed someone because he saw jewels fall out of the suspects pocket. The man grew suspicious and wrote down the suspect's liscence plate number, what he looked like and drove. The police drove around looking for the mans description. Finally they found the suspect and the fingerprints matched! If I wouldn't have been such a worry wart they woudn't have been able to catch him because he was about to board a plane. Without my help the police wouldn't have caught the criminal!
