n January 1775 I am in my room waiting for my sister to arrive. My sister went to see our brother to ask of his help. You see my sister and I are trying to plan a way to ascape on a ship away from our mean and heartless mother. Finnaly after waiting in my room what seemed like an hour I could hear my sister call to me. 'We have a plan,' my sister said in a quiet voice so that she would not be heard by our sleeping mother, 'He said that the captain of the ship owed him two tickets so we won't have to sneek on the ship and we can take only one bag of luggage each.' At least we won't have to hide the whole time' I said with relief. 'Just start packing' I said to my younger sister Carolyn. Finnaly we were done packing, in exactly 45 minutes. 'What time did Caleb say that the ship was leaving?' I asked. 'He said that he ship would leave at 8:00.' Carolyn answered. 'Oh no it's almost 8:00, we need to leave now!' I said with growing impaitience in my voice. We grabbed our things as fast and as quiet as we could and rushed and bumped our way through the crowded streets of New Jersey until the ship was in sight. We finnaly made our way to the ship. Then we handed the sailors our tickets and hopped on. The captain saw us and came over to us. He greeted us in a friendly voice 'Why hello there, your brother came here earier today to tell me that you two were boarding the sip. Are you alone?', the captain asked. 'Yes, in fact we our my mother wanted us to visit our relatives.' In lied. 'Well then I will then get some one show you to you room' he said. 'John, show them to a room that they can stay in' he called to one of the sailors. A sailor then approached us and said 'Follow me.' in agruff voice. We followed him into the dark passage ways of the ship. Finnaly we approached a door that he gestured was our room. We walked in. When I closed the door to make sure that no one could hear us I said 'We don't even know where the ship is heading or where it's going do we?' I said with fear in my voice.
