ヴィンセントとミミは、ハロウィ−ンの日、お家を回って「イタズラ？おかし？」と、おかしを集めていました。最後についたのは、古いシ〜ンとした家です。

「先に行ってちょうだい」と、ミミがいいました。
「いいよ。でもいっしょに来てね」
「OK」２人はそっと家の中へ入っていきました。

「なんて明るんだろう！緑色だよ！」と、ヴィンセントがさけびました。「ヴィンス！エメラルドよ！お金持ちになれるわ！」と、ミミもさけびました。そして、エメラルドをつかもうとしました。

ところがエメラルドにふれたとたん、ミミのすがたは消えてしまいました。そこへどこからか、「ドラゴンの目を荒らしたら、こんなことになるんだ。分かったか！」という声が聞こえてきました。
