これは、わたしのしっている人に、ほんとうにおきたお話です。あるところに、ジャンという名前のおんなの子がいました。ジャンはまいとし、なつになると、おじいさんとおばあさんのところへあそびに行きます。ジャンのおじいさんは、ぼくじょうをもっていました。おにわには、地リスのあながあります。おじいさんは、おにわのあなをふか〜くほって、地リスをつかまえます。つかまえたあと、あなはどろでうめて、上にはわらをかぶせます。

その日、ジャンはおにわで、いとことあそんでいました。ジャンはおにわを、走って、走って、走って、、、あら？あら？あら？ここはどこ？ジャンはうっかり、地リスのあなにおちてしまったのでした！ジャンは「たすけて〜！」と、さけびました。ふたりのいとこが、あわててかけつけました。そしてジャンをたすけ出すと、ルイーズおばさんの家へつれていきました。ルイーズおばさんがジャンをあらっているあいだ、ジャンはおふろばにずっと立っていなければなりませんでした。おばさんはゴシゴシこすって、どろやわらをぜんぶ、おとしてくれました。ジャンははずかしくて、シクシクないていました。どろん子ちゃん！

his is a true story about someone I know! There once was a girl named Jan who went to visit her grandma and grandpa every summer. Jan's grandpa was a farmer. Well, grandpa had gophers in his garden, so he dug very deep holes in the garden to trap them in. The holes were filled with mud and covered with straw.

When Jan was playing with her cousins in the garden, she was running around, and when she was running around, all of a sudden she realized that she wasn't on ground anymore; she was falling into a plot of mud! Jan cried out for help! She was stuck in mud and covered in straw up to her armpits. She had fallen in a gopher hole! Her two cousins rushed to help her. They helped her out and they brought her to her Aunt Louise's house. She had to stand on the toilet while Aunt Louise scrubbed her everywhere until she scrubbed all of the mud and straw off of a very embarrassed, crying, muddy girl!
