あるところにドーソンという名前の犬がいました。ドーソンは白いフワフワした毛の犬です。ジャンプをしたり、遊んだりするのが、大好きでした。ドーソンはいつもこうふんしています。お家に来る人には、必ず飛びついてむかえます。

ある日、ドーソンは９才になる飼い主のケリーとおさんぽへ出かけました。ケリーのいとこのカトリーナもいっしょです。ドーソンたちは池まで歩いていきました。ケリーたちは木にドーソンをつなぐと、魚釣りに行ってしまいました。２人が釣りをしている間、ドーソンはつながはずれたので、リスを追いかけ始めました。ケリーとカトリーナは、ドーソンがにげだしたことに、全然気がつきません。

しばらくすると、ドーソンはリスを追いかけるのにもあきたので、池に向かって歩き始めました。ドーソンは歩いていて、もう少しで池に落ちるところでした。その時、ドーソンは２匹の犬を見かけました。ドーソンは犬といっしょに遊ぶことにしました。２匹の犬はボブとジョージという名前です。

３匹はいっしょに遊びました。リスを追いかけたり、ステーキを食べたりしました。３匹はごみ箱の中で遊んだので、まっくろになりました。ドーソンはケリーとカトリーナを見かけました。そろそろ釣りは終わりそうです。ドーソンは木にもどったほうがいいな、と思いました。そして新しい友だちにさようならをいうと、急いで木のところへもどりました。

ケリーとカタリーナは釣りをやめました。木の下を見ると、ちゃんとドーソンがいます。「いい子、いい子」とケリーは、ドーソンが一日なにをして遊んでいたかしらずに、いいました。

nce there was a dog named Dawson. He was a white, fluffy dog who loved to jump and play. He was very hyper. You couldn't walk in his owner's house without being jumped on.

One day he was on a walk with his 9-year-old owner named Kelly. Kelly's cousin Katrina was with them. She was 10. They walked to a pond. There they tied Dawson to a tree and went off fishing. While they were fishing, Dawson got loose and went chasing after a squirrel. Kelly and Katrina did not even notice that he escaped.

After a little while Dawson got bored of chasing a squirrel and went to walk along the pond. He walked and almost fell in. Luckily he didn't. Then he saw other dogs. He decided to go play with them. There were 2 other dogs. Their names were Bob and George.

The 3 dogs had a fun time together. They chased squirrels and ate some steak. They played in trashcans and got all messy. Then Dawson saw Kelly and Katrina. They were almost done fishing. Dawson decided he better go back to the tree. He said good-bye to his two new friends and ran back to the tree.
Kelly and Katrina were just finishing. Kelly looked at the tree and saw Dawson. "Good boy," she said to him, not knowing what he had done all day.
